Make your next field trip a unique one at Port Discovery Children's Museum!
An Education Specialist is available to meet with you and provide:
- Information about educational field trips for grade team meetings
- Materials to maximize the educational value of your students' experience
- Tips and ideas to make your trip fun, safe and unforgettable!
Private/Public School Group Visits
School field trips are available every Friday in September and Tuesday through Friday from October through May. Wednesdays are reserved for groups ages 6 and under. The Museum offers 2 hour self-guided visits and 3 hour self-guided and staff-guided visits. Reservations are required.
2 Hour Self-Guided Visit
Minimum: 20 children
Cost: $7.50 per child
Adult: Required chaperones are FREE (Additional adults are $7.50 per person)
Available: Wednesdays* and Fridays (October through April); Tuesdays and Thursdays (May through mid-June)
*Wednesdays are reserved for groups ages 6 and under.
3 Hour Staff-Guided Visit
Minimum: 20 children
Cost: $9.25 per child
Adults: Required chaperones are FREE (Additional adults are $9.25 per person)
Available: Tuesdays and Thursdays (October through April)
3 Hour Self-Guided Visit
Minimum: 20 children
Cost: $9.25 per child
Adults: Required chaperones are FREE (Additional adults are $9.25 per person)
Available: Wednesdays and Fridays (October through mid-June)
- All chaperones must be 18-years or older
- Required Chaperone Ratio:
- Grades Pre-K to 2nd: 1 adult for every 5 children
- Grades 3rd-5th: 1 adult for every 8 children

School Group Visits are made possible through the generous support of the State of Maryland and P&G Fund of Greater Cincinnati Foundation.
Port Discovery offers interactive exhibits and educational enrichment programs to complement your child's lesson plans.
Homeschoolers may be eligible for special discounts in September and October through SAI funding. Funds are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis for those who qualify. All participants must register in advance.
