Imagine taking your scout or youth group on a journey through ancient Egypt; exploring a mystery house; and climbing a 3-story tree house; all within one night! Overnight Adventures combines the fun and excitement of exploring the great indoors of Port Discovery with hands-on, educational workshops! The program includes:
- Free play in the Museum's exhibits
- Creative arts and science based projects
- Evening snack and light breakfast
- Discount parking at Harbor Park Garage

Light Up the Night!
Daisy, Brownie, and Junior Girl Scouts will earn the Energy...It's Electrifying! patch by participating in three hands-on programs that will teach children about electricity and Compact Fluorescent Lamp (CFL). Children will:
- Learn about the difference between incandescent and CFL bulbs and generate electricity using lemons.
- Learn about electricity usage in their homes, schools, and around the world and create an energy themed necklace with shrinky dinks.
- Design a poster to show the benefits of conserving energy and sign a pledge to replace one incandescent bulb with a CFL.
- Earn an Energy...It's Electrifying Badge GSCM Badge
Ooey Gooey Science with Eric Energy
Join Eric Energy for an "ooey gooey" science show featuring eye catching experiments that teaches kids all about molecules and polymers. Some lucky volunteers will even get to make their own slime! Receive A Port Discovery Overnight Adventure Patch
Wildlife Adventures Presents: Animals that Go Bump in the Night!
Scouts will learn all about nocturnal animals through an interactive, live animal demonstration with Wildlife Adventures, and can make their own "glow in the dark" necklace to take home! Receive a Port Discovery Overnight Adventure Patch

Evening AdventuresEvening Adventures is a new program Port Discovery is offering for troops who are unable to spend the night in the Museum but still want to experience a Port Discovery Scout Adventure!
Evening Adventures run from 6 pm - 9 pm and include:
- Free play in the Museum
- Ooey Gooey Science Show with Eric Energy
- Pizza, juice, and fruit
- Port Discovery Scout Adventures Patch
Cost per per person is: $38.
