SUMMARY:Chemical Reactions - Homeschool Days
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a day of excitement\, exploration\, and learning\, all by the way of play! Embark on a self-guided journey throughout the three floors of fun Port Discovery has to offer and tap into special workshops offered just for our homeschoolers on these special days. \nChemical Reactions\nWorkshop sessions at 10:30am and 1:30pm\nDiscover what makes a chemical reaction happen through hands-on experimentation. Students will explore what chemical reactions are (and are not!) by predicting outcomes\, observing changes\, and testing reactions like acid-base reactions\, polymerization\, and decomposition. Young scientists will even create a take-home chemistry experiment to continue the discovery at home in this engaging\, curiosity-driven workshop focused on scientific thinking and exploration. \n*Homeschool Days and workshops are not drop-off programs. Children must be accompanied by an adult throughout the museum and within special workshops.  \n\n*Tickets are $15 per person and include all day admission to explore the museum as well as one workshop.\nMembers’ tickets are $7.50 per person\, which includes access to one homeschool day workshop at a discounted price as part of Port Discovery’s exclusive membership benefits. \n\nAdditional discounts cannot be applied to our Homeschool special program tickets for either adults or children. Additional tickets may not be purchased with memberships or other discounts. \n
