But which knights’ story is the best? Choose which story is your favorite by competing in the Great Tournament of Stories. Our two knights will prepare you for battle! Those who are victorious will be The Champion of Stories and an honorary knight of King Arthur’s Round Table. Do you have what it takes to be a knight?    \nStorybook Castle Photos: Take your own memorable photo in front of our storybook castle backdrop. Check the schedule for when members of the royal court will be visiting this area.  \n\n12 PM – 12:30 PM : King & Queen Photos\n3 PM – 3:30 PM : Knight Photos \n4 PM – 4:30 PM : King & Queen Photos \n\nArchery (12:30 PM – 4:30 PM) : How accurate can you be when you let the arrows fly? Test your skill and focus on our archery targets.  \nSearch for the Grail! (12 PM – 5 PM) : King Arty has been searching for the Grail for many years. Do you have the courage to join the quest and conquer the garden maze to find this hidden artifact?  \nCastle Siege Catapults! (12 PM – 4:30 PM) : It is time to take the offensive. Load your catapult and send the rocks flying to attack the castle.  \nHippity Hoppity Jousting (12:30PM – 4:30 PM) : Grab a lance and hop your way over to this challenge of skill. Young knights in training can participate in Maryland’s state sport. See if you can hit the target as you bounce your way across the lists.   \nCardboard Armory (2 PM – 4:30 PM) : To defend the king and queen a knight must have the proper tools. Visit the Cardboard Armory to make your own sword or shield.  \nRoyal Cardboard Carriage Ride: Looking for a view of the kingdom? Take a ride on the royal cardboard carriage to take in the sights.

DESCRIPTION:Port Discovery is all about learning through play and one of the best times to play is around Halloween. We are gearing up for a wonderful night full of pumpkin-themed games\, ghost stories\, a Halloween game show and many more! All the activities and crafts were created by our staff and kept you and your little one in mind. Make Rattle Your Bones a safe and fun family tradition to celebrate every year! \nThere is so much to do on this special night. So\, make sure to try it all and finish it off with our costume parade! \nFrankenSTEAM Laboratory | All Night \nOur Studio Workshop will become a STEAM explorative play space offering different hands-on activities. Includes creature puppet assembly and electricity powered art projects.  \nThe Bone Bin | All Night \nOur Oasis exhibit will be themed around bones! Learn about this living tissue through a variety of books\, games\, puzzles\, and toys.   \nSpooky Maze Adventure | All Night \nOur cardboard maze will feature Halloween themed décor and props. Will you venture through this spooky maze and find all of the hidden items? \nDecorate Your Own Mini Pumpkin | All Night\nUse special paint pens to decorate your selected mini pumpkin. Pumpkins available while supplies last.  \nSpecial Guest: Face Painter Janelle Jones \nAdd a special to you Halloween outfit and get your face painted by local artist Janelle Jones! \nSpecial Guest: Scarecrow Greg May\nOur friend Scarecrow Greg will be roaming throughout the museum with circus tricks\, magic tricks\, and lots of silliness! Watch out! He might even show up ten-feet tall. \nDiscovery Tales: A BOO-seum Story Time | 5:30 PM\nA story time for our younger visitors. Listen to books\, play with instruments\, and participate in scarf play all themed around friendly ghosts\, skeletons\, and monsters.  \nHide and Seek with the Headless Horseman | 7:15 PM\nDo you think you could beat our playful Headless Horseman puppet in a group game of hide and seek? Test your skills while learning about the classic short story\, “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow”.    \nBubbles and Broomsticks | 5:30 PM & 7:30 PM \nSeashell the Mermaid becomes the Sea Witch of Port Discovery in this bubble blowing bonanza! Come and pop some bubbles and watch as Seashell performs some bubble magic!    \nThe Play Fair Game Show | 6 PM & 8 PM \nA family game show where select players will test their skills to win take-home prizes. Multiple choice questions and physical challenges will be about classic Halloween symbols and traditions.  \nCostume Parade | 6 & 8 PM\nJoin museum staff and the event’s featured characters as we travel around the 1st floor on a musical\, marching parade led by visiting performer Greg May.  \nSummon the Banshee Train: A Sensory Ghost Story | 6:30 PM\nA family friendly\, interactive ghost story that will engage several of your senses. Based on the book “The Banshee Train” by Odds Bodkin\, help act out a chase that will bring forth a ghostly\, noisy train. \n  \n\nThis event is sponsored in part by PNC Bank and Wegmans
