DESCRIPTION:Join us for a day of excitement\, exploration\, and learning\, all by the way of play! Embark on a self-guided journey throughout the three floors of fun Port Discovery has to offer and tap into special workshops offered just for our homeschoolers on these special days. \nArt Around the World: Mosaics\nWorkshop sessions at 10:30am and 1:30pm\nExplore the world of mosaics in this hands-on workshop! Take a tour of famous mosaics from around the globe\, with a special focus on the stunning pieces in Istanbul’s Hagia Sophia. Learn about the techniques and history behind these intricate artworks\, then try your hand at creating your very own mosaic to take home. It’s a creative and educational experience that brings the beauty of mosaic art right to you! \n*Homeschool Days and workshops are not drop-off programs. Children must be accompanied by an adult throughout the museum and within special workshops.  \n\n*Tickets are $15 per person and include all day admission to explore the museum as well as one workshop.\nMembers’ tickets are $7.50 per person\, which includes access to one homeschool day workshop at a discounted price as part of Port Discovery’s exclusive membership benefits. \n\nAdditional discounts cannot be applied to our Homeschool special program tickets for either adults or children. Additional tickets may not be purchased with memberships or other discounts. \n
