DESCRIPTION:Get ready to Play It Safe! We’re teaming up with community partners to make safety fun and engaging for families like yours. \nTogether\, we’ll explore how to keep everyone safe while having a blast this summer. Kids will be able to take part in our interactive Safety Town\, where they’ll learn about traffic safety and discover cool gear to stay protected. Plus\, don’t miss Peake\, our adorable Chesapeake Bay Retriever (pup)pet\, whose ready to join in on the excitement and teach us how to stay safe and healthy while playing and having fun outside. Let’s play it safe and have a great time together this summer! \nProgramming for Saturday\, June 28th Includes…\nSafety Town (Atrium – 10AM – 4PM): Come build and explore our very own safety town made of cardboard! Kids will be able to take part in our interactive Safety Town\, where they’ll learn about traffic safety and discover cool gear to stay protected. \nDiscovery Time (Playhouse – 11AM\, 3PM): Look\, listen and sing! Gather ’round\, friends. Join us as we sing songs and read stories and the whole family can enjoy. \nPeake’s Safety Scavenger Hunt (Atrium – 11:30AM\, 12:15PM\, 2:30PM\, 3:15PM) : A group scavenger hunt led by Port Discovery’s Pup-Pet\, Peake the dog! Help Peake try to locate different safety signs throughout the museum. Once you’ve found them all\, you’ll earn a take-home prize. Teamwork and fun await—let’s go on a safety sign adventure with Peake! \nShow What You Know: Game Show (Atrium – 12PM & 2PM): Test your knowledge and be a contestant on our game show happening on the museum floor! Celebrate Play It Safe with trivia all about safety equipment and how to play safe during the summer.
