Virtual Learning: How will we view the Pre-Recorded/On-Demand Videos?

Pre-recorded / On-demand videos are viewed through the Sprout website. The email used to book the programming is used for login. Prerecorded videos expire 30 days from the date of the original booking and include 5 overall views.

Virtual Learning: What is your attendance policy?

Live programming can only accommodate up to 30 students per program. Additional lives must be purchased for next available date for any additional children. Prerecorded videos require attendance capture at time of viewing.

Virtual Learning: What if I need to cancel or reschedule?

To avoid forfeiture of any payments, you must contact Group Sales within one (1) week of your original date of visit to reschedule. New rescheduled dates must occur within one calendar year to avoid forfeiture of payment.

Virtual Learning: How do reservations work? Is a deposit needed?

Reservations are required. A $100 non-refundable deposit is due at time of booking for live programming. The balance is due one (1) week prior to your scheduled visit date. All major credit cards are accepted and payment can be made using a secure, credit card link via email. Purchase orders and personal checks are not acceptable forms of payments. Please leave ample time for shipping delays when mailing a school check. FULL payment is required at time of booking for prerecorded videos.

COVID Protocols: How are you handling social distancing?

We have significantly limited the number of tickets that we sell for any one play session at Port Discovery so that guests have space to enjoy the Museum while maintaining a comfortable physical distance from others. We highly recommend purchasing/reserving tickets in advance of visting Port Discovery to ensure that you'll be able to visit on the day and time that works best for your family.

COVID Protocols: How are you handling hand sanitizing and cleaning?

We've added hand sanitizing stations for your use throughout the Museum. We suggest that guests to sanitize their hands upon entry to the Museum, and before and after visiting each exhibit area. We also strongly encourage you to wash your hands frequently throughout your visit.

COVID Protocols: Are masks required for visitors?

Masks are optional inside of Port Discovery Children's Museum. Please kindly show respect for the choice of others to mask or not. We have made this transition based on the latest data and research supporting an easing of masking protocols in indoor settings, and in accordance with Baltimore City guidelines. We fully support anyone who chooses to continue to wear a mask going forward.

Ticket Reservations: Is there a limit on how many tickets I can reserve/purchase?

We ask that you purchase or reserve tickets for just one play session per day so that the many other children and families who are also eager to play and experience Port Discovery will have an opportunity to do so!

Play Sessions: What If I arrive late to the Play Session I purchased/reserved tickets for?

You may still enter and play even if you arrive later than planned! You may arrive at any time during your reserved play session and will need to exit promptly by the end of your session.

If you are running late and need to reschedule your visit instead, please reply to the email confirmation you received when you purchased your tickets or call the Port Discovery Box Office at 410.864.2744 on the day of your visit and request to reschedule your visit to another date and/or time, subject to availability and a rescheduling fee of $5.00. Visits cannot be rescheduled after your purchased/reserved ticket visit date has passed.

Play Sessions: Why is the museum closing in the middle of the day?

The Museum is closing for an hour in between play session to allow Museum staff to reset and prepare the Museum for the next fans of play.
