Is your kiddo not exactly sure what they want to dress up as this Halloween? Check out our easy and fun ideas that you can create right at home, using things you probably already have lying around your house.

Plus, you can show off your wickedly awesome DIY costumes during Port Discovery’s Pop-Up Halloween Costume Parade around the Museum happening only on Saturday, October 30th and Sunday, October 31st!

Costume 1 - Colorful Jellyfish

Materials You’ll Need:

  • Clear umbrella
  • Hot glue
  • Different colored ribbon (or streamers)
  • Mesh fabric or tulle (optional)
  • Bubble wrap (optional)

Your kiddo will love becoming a colorful and flowy jellyfish. What’s even better? It’s easy to create, and comfortable for your kiddo to trick-or-treat in! Just make sure your little one has a monochromatic outfit, and you’ll be good to go. Check out the full directions via Good Housekeeping.

Costume 2 - Lego Piece

Materials You’ll Need:

  • Cardboard box
  • Paper cups / craft boxes
  • Glossy spray paint (any color)

Have an old Amazon box lying around? Perfect! You can create one of your kiddos favorite toys as their Halloween costume. Cut out arm holes and a head hole, hot glue down craft boxes, and cover with a hefty coat of glossy spray paint - and you’re done! Check out the full directions via Country Living.
