Join Port Discovery and PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (PwC) during Computer Science Education Week, December 10-15, to take part in the Hour of Code™! Dive deep into the wonderful world of coding by trying it hands-on for yourself!
Guests big and small are invited to find out just how fun coding can be! You can choose to become the programmer, the computer, or the output when participating in our interactive unplugged exercises. Activities will include creating a dance for your friends using only command cards, telling a story with emojis and other visual symbols, and writing messages using binary code. Our youngest friends will also get a chance to craft their first “computer” and learn about its parts in the process!
"The Hour of Code is designed to demystify code and show that computer science is not rocket science—anybody can learn the basics," said Hadi Partovi, founder and CEO of Code.org. "Over 100 million students worldwide have tried an Hour of Code. The demand for relevant 21st-century computer science education crosses all borders and knows no boundaries."
