Giving Experiences as Gifts this Holiday Season

With the holiday season upon us, the challenge of finding the perfect gift is about to head towards the top of everyone’s to-do list. While toys and clothes are certainly atop many children’s wish lists, memorable experiences are also something that every parent and grandparent want to give their children. And, giving and sharing experiences is important for children’s wellbeing and development!

Scripted Stories

Scripted stories are designed to script out situations for children so they know what to do, when to do it and what the outcome will be. These stories were originally created by Carol Gray to help children with autism understand what to do in social situations. Port Discovery scripted stories script out various situations and environments that children may encounter during a Museum visit.
