The last five months have been quite the roller coaster ride – and children and families everywhere have been on our minds and in our hearts. We know it has not been easy for parents, for caregivers, or for children – and that the challenges will continue as the world around us changes rapidly.
While we are anxious to welcome you back to Port Discovery to provide in-person play and learning, we believe the right thing to do as of now is to remain temporarily closed and continue to bring you exciting, playful, and fun virtual Creative Art Activities, Music & Movement, Theater, Early Literacy & Storytimes, Health & Wellness, and STEM activities designed to help children continue learning during this challenging time.
Building on the success of our current online programs, we’re also creating new virtual learning programs for students and teachers to use as schools resume this fall.
We will continue to closely monitor the guidance of the CDC, the State of Maryland, and the City of Baltimore to determine the specifics of our opening plans, and will keep you updated as we know more.
We miss your smiles and sparkling eyes, your giggles and laughter, and a-ha moments so very much, and we truly can’t wait to see you at the Museum soon. Thank you for being part of the Port Discovery Children’s Museum family, and for your understanding during this time.
Warmest wishes to you and your family,
Bryn Parchman, President & CEO, Port Discovery Children's Museum
