$10 Halloween Community Day

Visit Port Discovery for just $10 per person and celebrate a spooky and kooky Halloween celebration on October 31st from 10AM – 5PM with 3 floors of fun!
Port Discovery is all about learning through play and one of the best times to play is around Halloween. We are gearing up for a wonderful night full of Halloween-themed games, ghost stories, and many more! All the activities and crafts were created by our staff and kept you and your little one in mind.

Programming for October 31st Includes…

Discovery Tales Halloween Edition : 10:30AM
A special edition of a Port Discovery classic, reading our favorite seasonal tales and singing some spooky songs!

Costume Parade into the Glow in the Dark Disco Party : 11AM
Don your Halloween gear and march in our annual parade around the museum. At the end of the parade is the glow in the dark disco party!

Monster Makers : 12PM
Design your very own creepy monster sock puppet to take home.

STEAM Spooktacular : 1PM to 3PM
Four special Halloween themed activities all at once for our first STEAM Spooktacular.

• Float-a-Ghost: Using our wind tunnel and recycled materials, guests can engineer a ghost of their own and then send it soaring up to the rafters of the museum.

• Bat Zipline: Guests will design a bat and then test it one of our ziplines to see how it flies around the room.

• Fizzy Pumpkins: Using chemistry skills, guests will combine different ingredients to create bubbling cauldrons inside of tiny pumpkins.
• Creepy Coding: Can you help our mouse friends find their way to some cheese? This coding activity puts your technology skills to the test as you help our friend Colby the mouse through a haunted maze.

Don your Halloween gear and march in our annual parade around the museum. At the end of the parade is the glow in the dark disco party!
