In addition to our daily programs, you’ll find fun family events like Set Sail for School, National Ice Cream Day Celebration, Winter Break, Noontime New Year, and so many more happening throughout the year at Port Discovery!

Now Open : Brick City: LEGO® Exhibit Takeover Opening
Port Discovery is officially joining the LEGO® Playful Learning Museum Network! As a proud member of this inspiring initiative, we’re partnering with the LEGO Foundation and the Association of Science and Technology Centers (ASTC) to bring more joyful, hands-on learning to our museum with our Brick City: LEGO® exhibit takeover of Kick It Up! for 2025-2026.
Now Open: Galactic Builders & SKIES Opening
Our newest exhibit expansions since the SkyClimber are open to the public! Now introducing Galactic Builders, our newest space themed STEAM exhibit, and SKIES, sky themed sensory friendly exhibit!
January 17: Stuffies Day Out
Visit Port Discovery on January 17th for Stuffies Day Out! Bring your favorite stuffed toy for a fun-filled day of imaginative play, creativity, and adventure.
January 18: Sensory Friendly Sunday
Port Discovery’s Sensory Friendly Sundays provide Museum access to families who would benefit from a sensory friendly experience and quieter setting at Port Discovery two hours before opening to the general public.
January 19: Open for MLK Day
Port Discovery is open from 9AM-5PM on MLK Day! Explore three floors filled with exhibits and join in on playful learning activities held throughout the day by our Learning & Visitor Experience Team.
January 26: $10 Community Day
Visit Port Discovery for just $10 per person and enjoy 3 floors of fun, plus special performances and activities from our Learning & Visitor Experience Team and Port Discovery Staff!
January 31: Hops & Vines
Join us for a grown-up friend-raiser (21+) in support of Port Discovery’s educational and access programs. Hops & Vines brings together the best breweries and wineries from around the region for an evening of premier tastings.
