Play Like a Pro Weekend

Gear up for a weekend of sports and fun at Play Like a Pro Weekend! Explore interactive games, hands-on activities, and exciting challenges that celebrate the world of sports and physical activities. From learning about Baltimore athletic traditions to testing your skills and teamwork, it’s a winning experience for kids and families of all ages! Guests are encouraged to wear jerseys and team fan apparel for the weekend. All of this weekends events will be located in our Atrium! 

Programming for this weekend includes…

Batting Cages (Atrium, 10AM-4PM): Batter up! Try your hand at batting in our batting cage and learn the fundamentals of swinging a bat for sports like baseball or softball. Attempt to get a high score inside while playing! Play together and make it competitive by participating with the kids and seeing who can score the most points.

Family Bowling (Kick it Up, 1PM- 2PM): Bowl with the whole family – literally! Instead of using bowling pins or bowling balls, you and your kids will become the pins and ball yourselves. This activity is all about teamwork, joy, and physical activity to engage the whole family.

DIY Golf Course (Atrium, 10 AM- 4 PM): Known by many names and a popular introduction to golf, mini-golf as a sport focuses on putting the ball into the hole with unique courses to match. Build your own golf course using available building materials! Challenge yourself by ramping up the difficulty in this collaborative activity structured around perseverance.

Hot Dog Race (Atrium, 12PM & 2PM): Hot dogs are a nationwide favorite at nearly all American stadiums, and when you want to share in your excitement, you can say ‘Hot Dog!’ too! Participate in a race about all-things hot dog in order to reach the finish line by running to each base led by your kid, while blindfolded! Adults will rely on their kids to lead them to each base successfully, which encourages teamwork, problem-solving, and creative thinking.

Design Your Own Jerseys (Atrium, 2PM- 4PM): Make your own jersey either for your favorite team, or make a sports team for your family! This is a hands-on art project focused on creativity, where you can use tactile materials to create a wearable jersey for your plushie or teddy bear during the weekend.

Design Your Own Mascot (Atrium, 10AM-12PM): Just like the Orioles or the Ravens, Towson Tigers, Johns Hopkins Blue Jays, or the Morgan State Bears – learn about local mascots and design your very own for a sports team of your creation! Decide the sport, and then design what mascot you want to represent your team: you can also dream up a mascot for your family or friends.

Football Toss (Atrium, 10AM-4PM): Step up and show off your arm! Can you hit the targets and score big? Football Toss is a high-energy challenge that gets the whole body moving while building motor skills, and keeping kids active and locked in. It’s fast, fun, and all about who’s got the best aim.

Bowling (Atrium, 10AM-4PM): Roll, strike, and rack up the points in a family-friendly showdown – bowling is all about precision, power, and a little friendly competition! Aim for the pins and gain points for the number of pins you can knock down.
