Get inspired by incredible Doers and Dreamers throughout history during MLK weekend. Use speech bubbles to explore the words of Dr. Martin Luther King. Listen to tales of unlikely heroes that defy the impossible. Read stories of innovators, activists and pioneers. Learn about the history of African Americans in baseball with the Baltimore Negro Baseball League.

Saturday
Oasis Reading Corner- All Day
Take a dive into the Oasis reading corner where you can read stories about innovators, activists and pioneers.
Discovery Stage Series- Diane Macklin Story Teller- 11:30 a.m.
Listen as Diane Macklin tells stories of marvelous tales of unlikely heroes that defy the impossible through kindness, friendship, and courage.

Speech Bubbles- 3 p.m.
Speech bubbles are used in cartoons to represent character’s speeches and thoughts. Use some real-life life ones to explore language, poetry, and the words behind Dr. Martin Luther King Jr’s famous “I Have A Dream” speech.

Take a dive into the Oasis reading corner where you can read stories about innovators, activists and pioneers.
Tot Tales- 11 a.m.
Join in a fun and interactive story time with stories, music, and movement that help kids develop social skills, broaden their vocabulary, and ignite their imaginations! Featuring books and stories that highlight Dr. King’s life and contributions.
