Emily Conner

Arts & Character Integration Coordinator
Port Discovery Children's Museum

Emily holds a Masters Degree in Museum Studies from the Cooperstown Graduate Program, and a Bachelors of Art in PK-12 Art Education from Shepherd University. Emily has led young people in developing their visual literacy and creative expression in Maryland public school classrooms, for art education nonprofits, and in art museums for over a decade. This is her first foray into the children’s museum world, and she can’t wait to learn more and PLAY more. Outside of the museum, Emily is passionate about volunteering with and fostering dogs, and heading into nature for a hike.

How can Emily help you: Emily leads the art programming at Port Discovery, creating opportunities for guests to practice material experimentation and creative expression, while strengthening their character skills – like joy, curiosity, collaboration, kindness, and perseverance – in the studio.
