From April 12-21, Enjoy garden-themed exploration activities, creative art projects, engaging stories and much more that is sure to bring joy and create lasting memories. It’s the perfect way to celebrate the season with fun for the whole family!

Spring Break Programs & Activities:

- Discovery Time: Look, listen and sing! Gather ’round, friends. Join us as we sing songs and read stories and the whole family can enjoy.
- Diner Detectives: Test your five senses and solve a diner mystery. Can you figure out what was cooked in Tiny’s Diner? Find all the clues, crack the code (and some eggs!) and become a Diner Detective!
- Peake the Pup-Pet’s Garden: Spring time is the time to enjoy and learn all about the importance of nature, and how plants and insects play an important role in spring. Join Peake, Port Discovery’s puppet pet dog, and be transported through books, songs, and dramatic play by helping Peake through his spring time gardening!
- Wingin’ It: A performing arts program for children under 3 and their caregivers. Move, sound, and act like birds while exploring dance, music, and dramatic play.
- Exploration Bins | Life is a Garden: Explore through a hands-on sensory-friendly experience with a variety of textures and hidden objects inside of one of our themed sensory bins. Kids will have the opportunity to create and play pretend with the surprises in store. With Life is a Garden, these garden themed bins will focus on nature and the critters in our backyards!
- Make It Grow: Become a botanist and explore the life cycle of the seed. Plant a seed to take it home and observe your seed’s growth like a scientist.
- Parachute Games: Participate in a selection of dramatic, physically active games using our giant parachute! From pretending to be ocean animals to popping popcorn, work out your bodies and imagination.
- Tech & Tinker: Tinker in this hands-on activity focused on problem solving and curiosity through STEM Learning, where you can participate in a screen-free exploration of coding, robotics, and creative design.
- Orthinthology: Our backyard is home to many different species of birds, such as the Baltimore Oriole! Learn more about the birds that live in Maryland, and ones you can spot in your backyard.

Do you love Port Discovery Summer Camp and can’t wait for all your favorite activities, exhibits and counselors? Join us for Spring Break week as we Spring Into STEAM during our all-new School’s Out Camp. Campers will spend each day playing and exploring STEAM activities with art creations, engineering experiences, scientific discoveries and more! Campers will also have ample time to navigate the museums three floors of interactive fun!
