Come be a hero at a Children’s Museum not so far away! On May 3rd & 4th, visit Port Discovery Children’s Museum for fun that visitors from all planets and galaxies are sure to enjoy. With activities ranging from building a laser sword to hero training, everyone is sure to find something that will put a smile on their face.

Galaxy Rebel Programs & Activities
Foam Laser Sword Making Workshop
Embark on a cosmic adventure and craft your very own laser sword! Using cardboard, tape, and foam pool noodles, you’ll design a unique weapon for your intergalactic journey. Take home your custom creation and get inspired by sample designs from our Port Discovery team. Available while supplies last, with 20 space travelers per session.
Robot Factory
Step into a world of innovation and technology! Design and customize your own robot from various materials, then bring it to life. Perfect for budding engineers and creators of all ages!
Boomwhacker Orchestra: Iconic Heroic Themes
Explore the power of music through the Boomwhacker Orchestra! Join in a fun, hands-on performance featuring iconic and heroic music that will get your creative juices flowing as you work together to make beautiful sounds.
Hero Training

Navigate the stars as you craft your personal star map! Learn about constellations, planets, and the mysteries of the universe while designing a celestial guide for your space adventures.
Creature Feature
Craft a unique space creature puppet from a selection of materials. Once finished, bring your intergalactic creation to life and join others for a fun, interactive experience that brings your puppet into a cosmic adventure.
