Baltimore, MD (January 26, 2023)– Port Discovery Children’s Museum is collaborating with the Pratt Library to create the Children’s Library of Things. The collection which launched on Tuesday, January 24 includes toys, games, and educational materials that children and parents can use to play and learn together. The activities are for children from birth to age 8. Customers can browse and pick up items from the collection at the Pratt Central Library in Mount Vernon, or browse online and have kits sent for pickup to the Pratt branches.

The kits contain items that have been thoughtfully curated by staff at both Port Discovery and the Pratt Library, including items such as Squigz, Alphabet Nesting and Stacking Blocks, Pengaloo, Shape Sorting Buckets and more! Helpful play tips included in the kit guide children and families in exploring a range of developmental growth areas that focus on fine and gross motor, social-emotional and relational, and problem solving skills.

Rachel Demma, Vice President of Education and Innovation at Port Discovery is “thrilled to partner with the Enoch Pratt in order to be able to offer our new Children’s Library of Things to Baltimore’s kids and families. It’s a wonderful way to extend the fun and excitement of a visit to Port Discovery to playing at home, all through our local libraries.”
