The founder of Brown Girl Wellness had a vision to create a day to support children in hospice care. The organization made a request for Baltimore City to recognize Joy for Jordan Day to raise awareness for childhood wellness and literacy. The request has been officially designated as an annual day. We are excited Mayor Brandon Scott honored the request. Joy for Jordan Day has been officially designated as an annual day in Baltimore City.
This special afternoon celebrates the incredible strength of 10-year-old Jordan, a young warrior in hospice care who finds comfort in books and continues to inspire everyone around her. The event will focus on childhood wellness, literacy, and supporting families like Jordan’s, with an emphasis on joy, love, and community.
