Gear up for a weekend of sports and fun at Play Like a Pro Weekend! Explore interactive games, hands-on activities, and exciting challenges that celebrate the world of sports and physical activities. From learning about Baltimore athletic traditions to testing your skills and teamwork, it’s a winning experience for kids and families of all ages!

Programming for Saturday, July 26th Includes…

Design Your Own: Medal or Trophy! (Art Cove, All Day)
A trophy or medal serves as a symbol of achievement – a tangible, durable reminder of accomplishments across all competitive sports… all the way to the Olympics! Design your own trophy or medal in our Art Cove, tailored to your own accomplishments or goals that you hope to achieve!

Batting Cage (Atrium, 10AM – 4PM)
Batter up! Try your hand at practicing batting inside our batting cage, and learn the fundamentals of how to swing a bat for sports like baseball or softball. Attempt to get a high score inside while playing!

Design Your Own Mascot (Atrium, 10AM – 12PM & 2PM – 4PM)
Just like the Orioles or the Ravens, Towson Tigers, Johns Hopkins Blue Jays, or the Morgan State Bears – learn about local mascots and design your very own for a sports team of your creation! Decide the sport, and then design what mascot you want to represent your team: you can also dream up a mascot for your family or friends.

Discovery Tales (Playhouse or Tot Trails, 11AM)
Look, listen, and sing! Gather ’round, friends, for a delightful ice cream themed story time. Join us as we sing songs and read stories all about sports.

Hot Dog Race (Atrium, 12PM & 2PM)
Hot dogs are a nationwide favorite at nearly all American stadiums, and when you want to share in your excitement you can say ‘Hot Dog!’ too! Participate in a race about all-things hot dog in order to reach the finish line.

Design Your Own Mini Golf Hole (Atrium, 1PM – 3PM)
Known by many names and a popular introduction to golf, mini-golf as a sport focuses on putting the ball into the hole with unique courses to match. Create your own mini golf hole with your own obstacles, and test it out after!

Sokol Gymnastics (Sunday, July 27th): The Sokol Baltimore mission is to guide its members throughout life to physical and moral health, good citizenship, and cultural appreciation. We focus equally on individual effort, group cooperation, and commitment to our community. We do this by offering affordable gymnastics, fitness, educational, and cultural classes for all ages

Ava Field Dancers (Sunday, July 27th): Founded by Ava Denise Fields, The Ava Fields Dance Company is a community-centered organization committed to making dance accessible to young people regardless of their financial means. As a pioneer in the field, Ava Fields was among the first to introduce dance into church services, establishing dance ministries that have since become a vibrant part of worship in African American churches across denominations. Through education, performance, and outreach, the company continues to inspire and uplift communities through the power of dance.
