Outside of work, Dottie spends time with her two golden retrievers, canoes, hikes, and does charity work. Dottie’s favorite experience at Port Discovery is witnessing how kids handle their experience on the slide, whether it’s utter exuberance, or seeking help to become brave. When she was little, she wanted to be a mad scientist, with the white coat, her own lab and lots of indoor lighting. If she were any type of water vessel, Dottie would be a canoe. Her family opened (and still runs) a canoeing business the year she was born.
