April 16- NanoDay
    Bring your family to celebrate NanoDay. Family friendly activities illustrate the world at the nanoscale, making this new field of science accessible and fun. NanoDay celebrations create unique new learning experiences for both children and adults to explore the miniscule world of atoms, molecules, and nanoscale forces.
      Surface to Volume Ratio: 11 am - 2 pm
      Join Port Education Consulting to learn about special properties of nano-materials due to their surface to volume ratio.

      Computer Hard Drives: 11 am - 2 pm
      Learn how to make computer codes using magnets. Computer hard drives are one of the most common applications of nanotechnology.

      Capillary Action: 11 am - 2 pm
      Make a beautiful design on a coffee filter while exploring how liquids flow in narrow spaces.

      Circle Time : 11:30 am
      Enjoy our signature interactive story time, featuring singing, dancing, and finger plays. Recommended for ages 6 and under.

      Jingle Jangle Music Time
      : 11:30 am & 12:15 pm
      A lively interactive music experience that teaches infants and young toddlers basic rhythm through singing, clapping, and shaking shakers!

      Electroplating: 1 pm - 3 pm
      Can you make a nickel look like a penny? Experiment with electroplating!

      Pixelligent : 11 am – 2 pm
      Visit Pixelligent, a local Baltimore company whose PixClear technology uses nanocrystals to improve electronic displays. Learn more about their products through hands-on demonstrations.

      UV Bracelets:
      1 pm - 3 pm Create a bracelet using beads that change color when exposed to ultraviolet light!
