Ranked among the top five children’s museums in the United States, Port Discovery Children’s Museum offers three floors of interactive, educational exhibits and ever-changing programs for children ages birth through 10.

Port Discovery has received numerous awards, including the 2010 Nickelodeon's Parents' Pick for "Best Museum," the Association of Children’s Museums and MetLife Foundation’s “2009 Promising Practice Award,” Maryland Family Magazine’s “2008 Best Kids’ Entertainment Place,” and the “Five Star Pick” of the Lila Guide to Baby-Friendly Venues in Major U.S. Metropolitan Areas.

In 2010, Port Discovery Children's Museum was recognized as a Good to Grow museum by the Association of Children's Museums for making significant strides to promote health and wellness to children and families in their communities. Port Discovery is just one of seven children's museums (out of over 300 in the nation) to receive the Good to Grow designation.
